Solys, a Chinese lighting manufacturer, had the lights, the factory, and the experience of lighting up spaces for over 30 years. And then, they wanted a website that could showcase their massive scale, reflecting their sustainability credentials, innovation, and the bold, bright experience that would make B2B buyers stop and stare. That's when we grabbed our design toolkit to get to work on building their virtual showroom.
Key Challenges on The Journey
Solys had a towering reputation. Their legacy was huge, and their products were top-notch. Yet, the challenge was clear: It was to take the massive, complex manufacturing operation in a 22,000 sq m facility in Zhongshan to the digital world through a website that's simple, clear, and engaging. They needed a site that could handle tons of products, but without overcrowding. The site should showcase eco-friendly processes, innovation, and reliability as a brand itself, while making it easy for global buyers to find exactly what they want.
Shaping the Next Steps of Solys
With a deep understanding of the requirements of the website, we shaped the direction of the site’s structure, content hierarchy, and visual strategy. We built a clean, intuitive navigation system that breaks down Solys’ extensive product range into easy-to-find categories. To highlight the green manufacturing and quality standards, we created engaging visuals and interactive sections. To make it aesthetically pleasing, we focused on a modern look inspired by light itself. With contrasting dark tech tones and fresh, natural whites, we balanced eco-awareness with innovation. The implementations offered a website that's informative, inspiring, and ready to light the way for global partners.
