StarTime is an innovative organization in the edutainment section that offers a wide array of engaging and innovative courses for children. With a roster of over 200 coaches, the StarTime team is committed to providing high-quality education in an entertaining format. The COVID-19 pandemic prompted a shift to online streaming via platforms like Zoom, leading the StarTime team to envision a dedicated online platform to further expand its reach and impact.

Challenge

With the growing success during the pandemic, the StarTime team approached us to build a comprehensive online platform in the form of "StarTime Live". The objective was to create an intuitive and kid-friendly online space that incorporated features like streaming, interactive assignments, quizzes, social networking, shop, and parental controls. The challenge was to develop a powerful web application that integrated all these functionalities while maintaining a high level of security and prioritizing children's privacy.

Our Approach

We took an all-inclusive approach to the project, recognizing the need for a scalable and technologically advanced solution. Leveraging the latest technologies, we chose Laravel as the development framework, ensuring flexibility, efficiency, and maintainability. For smooth streaming capabilities, we integrated Vonage WRTC, a technology capable of supporting up to 15,000 concurrent streamers for a single stream. To optimize storage and ensure quick loading times, we deployed AWS servers for both uploading and downloading content.

Outcome & Future Prospects

In just six months, we successfully built an edutainment platform that can be likened to a "Netflix for children." The platform is set to go live in 2024, providing a comprehensive and secure space for children to learn, connect, and explore. By integrating the latest technologies and adhering to the highest standards in UI/UX design, StarTime Live is poised to revolutionize the way children engage with educational content.
